Your membership in the Ilan family doesn’t end at graduation.  The alumnae association plans dinners and lectures with our esteemed Rabbis and teachers and a joyous “simchat kallah” celebration when an alumna gets married.

An act of chesed will enrich your life and the life of someone in need.  Visit hospitals and nursing homes, help mothers care for their children, tutor children, stock the food bank, and much more

Join a group of talented students who bring joy through their song.  They perform at school events including our Shabbaton and mother-daughter luncheon

  • Mock Trial
    Aspiring lawyers have an opportunity to prepare a case to be tried in a real courtroom before a real judge against opposing counsel.  Courtroom drama abounds in this national program.
  • Music
    The guitar is a portable, versatile instrument.  Learn basic chords and read sheet music to bring harmony into your life.
  • Photography
    This non-darkroom course teaches the basics of photography.  Students gain an appreciation of form, design and technique as they snap away.
  • Scrapbooking
    Create special photo memories in this popular club.  Let your creativity and sentiment lead the way.
  • Soccer
    Master the fundamentals of this dynamic sport in a beautiful facility with master coaches.  
  • Tennis
    Learn to play this popular game with our talented coach.
  • Mosaics
    Create beautiful masterpieces in this enjoyable artistic medium.

FINE ARTS PROGRAM
Students experience the cultural arts by attending concerts, plays, and the ballet.  There is something new and exciting on the roster every year
 
ILAN ADVENTURE
Our annual spring trips serve as a magnificent culmination to the school year.  Ninth, tenth, and eleventh grades participate together in a three year cycle of trips to Niagara Falls, Boston/Rhode Island and Virginia, while our seniors spend ten incomparable days in Israel on a subsidized trip accompanied by their Rabbis and Teachers.
 
LUNCH MEETINGS
An innovative program at Ilan, these monthly meetings with the principals enable students make suggestions about ways to enrich student life at Ilan.
 
MATH LEAGUE
Designed for the gifted and motivated math student, this national league is a challenging interactive program.
 
MIDDOT PROGRAM
A formal program run by a committee of students introduces the “midah of the month”.  Activities, games and special guest speakers aid the goal of self-improvement.
 
“PROJECT GENERATIONS”
Record your family history and honor grandparents in this interactive and educational forum culminating in our Generation’s Luncheon.
 
SHABBATON
Faculty, Rabbis, and special guest lecturers join students on our yearly retreat of inspiration and growth.  Every student participates in creating all aspects of the Shabbaton, including décor, entertainment, and baked goods.
 
STUDENT GOVERNMENT
The driving force behind our most popular events, the student government is comprised of two representatives guided by a faculty mentor.

Join students throughout the region in this exciting interschool academic competition.
 
YOM IYUN
This day of special learning is organized and facilitated by our students and a special guest speaker
 
PUBLICATIONS
  • YEARBOOK – The culmination of our four-year computer program is the production of the senior class yearbook.  Students are involved in every aspect of layout, design, photography and literature, in this outstanding opportunity to exhibit their many talents.

  • KOLENU– Our primary school publication, published three times per year, is distributed to the larger community.  Students report on events taking place at Ilan, contribute stories, and interview faculty.

  • LITERARY MAGAZINE – Writing is the key to academic success.  As part of our specialized writing program, students publish a yearly magazine of student poetry, essays and fiction.
